A Message from the Founder

The Vision: Beyond the Weekend Game

I started the Landsharks Elite Football Academy because, as a father of three young boys, I saw a massive gap in how youth football was being taught. Football was my main sport and my lifelong passion, but I realized that local programs were often focused only on the Saturday scoreboard, neglecting the technical development and athletic foundation kids need to truly excel.

I wanted to create more than just a team; I wanted to build a complete development program where young athletes in Mentor and the surrounding communities can master the mechanics of the game—footwork, field vision, and elite speed.

The Mission: Putting Northeast Ohio on the Map

Northeast Ohio has some of the best football talent in the country. My goal is to give our local athletes the platform they deserve: the chance to compete on the biggest national stages—from NFL FLAG Regionals to the Junior Olympic Games. When our teams walk onto the field in Canton, Detroit, or at the National Championships, they aren't just representing a club; they are representing the grit and talent of Northeast Ohio.

Through our partnership with Elite Sports Performance, we ensure that every player who wears the Landsharks jersey is physically and mentally prepared to dominate, not just participate.

Bobby Fioritto

Founder and Director of Football Operations

I believe that every athlete deserves a professional environment to grow. My journey began on the football fields of high school and college, but my passion evolved into the study of human performance.

After earning my Master’s in Exercise Physiology and founding Elite Sports Performance in 2012, I’ve spent the last 13 years vetting the best ways to develop youth, collegiate, and pro athletes.

I founded the Landsharks Elite Football Academy to give Mentor families a better option: a program led by a certified football coaches and sports performance specialists who understands the 'why' behind every drill.

My goal is to ensure your athlete is faster, smarter, and more resilient than the competition. I’m a proud Cleveland sports fan and a firm believer in the power of the Buckeye state—but my true passion is witnessing the growth of the athletes who walk through our doors.
